ChemInform Abstract

Sulfonated polyaniline of high sulfur-to-nitrogen ratio of 3/4, high solubility, and high d.c. conductivity being nearly pH independent is prepared in high yield (≅70%) by sulfonation of polyaniline in its most reduced state (i.e. as leucoemeraldine base).
