ChemInform Abstract

The title vinyl sulfones (III) and (IV) are prepared from the corresponding aryl methyl ketones (II) with preference to the (E)- isomers. Only in one case (IIc) rearrangement of the initially formed vinyl sulfones to the allyl sulfone (Vc) can be observed.
