ChemInform Abstract
The rate of chlorine atom abstraction from (I), (II) and (III) by triethylsilyl or, especially, trimethylamine butylboryl radicals is accelerated by β-alkoxy groups as in (Ia), (IIa) and (IIIa); the cis-isomer (IIa) is 2-3 times more reactive than the trans-isomer ( IIIa).
