ChemInform Abstract

Asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation of several model olefin (I), ketone (III) or hydrazone (V) substrates using new 1,1′-bis(phospholano) ferrocene ligands in the Rh(I)-catalyst leads to the corresponding saturated compounds with moderate to good e.e. values. The methyl derivative dpmf is found to be more effective.
