ChemInform Abstract
Photoinduced cyclization of the chromium dienyl(amino)carbene complex ( III), obtained by aminolysis of the corresponding (methoxy)carbene complex (I) with dimethylamine (II), forms the fused o-aminonaphthol ( IV). This type of reaction is applied to several chromium dienyl(amino) carbene complexes, prepared as described in the original paper, e.g. ( V) and (VII), to give the anellation products (VI) and (VIII).
