ChemInform Abstract

During the hydrosilylation of acetophenone (I) with the well-known complex (IV) as the catalyst the new title complex (V) is formed as an intermediate. On reaction of (IV) with an excess of (II) in the absence of (I), (V) can be isolated and is characterized by IR and 1H NMR spectra. (V) is much more effective catalyst than its precursor ( IV).
