ChemInform Abstract

The near-IR spectra of BaCl2×2D2O and several partially deuterated samples are recorded at 10 K and the O-D stretching bands are analyzed by using the local-mode theory. The local-mode parameters for O-H oscillators in HOD are found to be different from those of H2O in this crystal.
