ChemInform Abstract
The reaction of the propargyl tungsten complex (I) with aniline (II) or AlCl3 yields adducts (III) (space group C2/c, Z = 8) or (IV), resp., in which a C-C bond formation occurs at the β-carbon; in contrast, at the allenyl complex (V) the C-C bond is formed at the . alpha.-carbon. In the case of the amine adduct (VII) (space group P21/ c, Z = 4) a four-membered ring is formed (some yields not given).
