ChemInform Abstract

The dihydrofuran (II) is prepared according to a known procedure. Starting from this key compound the target compound (VII) with the desired “allyl-alcoholic” side chain is prepared. This compound may be a useful precursor in the preparation of the hypothetical levuglandin analogue (VIII).
