ChemInform Abstract

The chalcones (III), (VI), (VIII), (X), and (XI) are synthesized as outlined in the reaction scheme and tested for antimitotic activity. The compound (VI) is found to be the most potent antimitotic agent in vitro and it shows antitumor activity against L1210 leukemia and B16 melanoma in vivo.
