Abstract

The synthesized diaryl diselenide (III) (space group P212121, Z=4) is used for synthesis of the bis(arylselenyl)methane (V), the bis(arylselenyl)-Pt(II) complex (VI) (yield 74% from Pt(PPh3)2(CH2=CH2)), and the selenyl halides (VII).

ChemInform Abstract

The synthesized diaryl diselenide (III) (space group P212121, Z=4) is used for synthesis of the bis(arylselenyl)methane (V), the bis(arylselenyl)-Pt(II) complex (VI) (yield 74% from Pt(PPh3)2(CH2=CH2)), and the selenyl halides (VII). The selenyl chloride (VIIa) is starting material for the preparation of the sulfinylimino-aryl selenide (IX) (Pbca, Z = 8) and the bis(arylselenyl)sulfur(IV) diimide (XI).
