Abstract

The nitro ketone (Ia) reacts with TeCl4 to give the hydroximoyl chloride (II).

ChemInform Abstract

The nitro ketone (Ia) reacts with TeCl4 to give the hydroximoyl chloride (II). In the presence of triethylamine under similar conditions, the isoxazoline (III) is obtained. Treatment of (I) with styrene (IV) in the presence of TeCl4 leads to the formation of (V).
