Abstract

Reaction of hypochlorite (II) mentioned in the title with the perfluoroalkyl iodides (I) yields the adducts (III) which decompose upon heating or irradiation to form the corresponding perfluoroalkoxypentafluorotellurium compounds (IV).

ChemInform Abstract

Reaction of hypochlorite (II) mentioned in the title with the perfluoroalkyl iodides (I) yields the adducts (III) which decompose upon heating or irradiation to form the corresponding perfluoroalkoxypentafluorotellurium compounds (IV). This route provides a simple access to the hitherto unknown trifluoromethyl derivative (IVa).
