Abstract

The location of Ni2+ in the zeolite frameworks of NiNa-Y and NiK-Y zeolites is investigated after various stages of thermal treatment and the reduction of Ni2+ in flowing H2 atmosphere is studied as a function of H2 flow rate, reduction time, temp., sample precalcination, and NH3 pretreatment.

ChemInform Abstract

The location of Ni2+ in the zeolite frameworks of NiNa-Y and NiK-Y zeolites is investigated after various stages of thermal treatment and the reduction of Ni2+ in flowing H2 atmosphere is studied as a function of H2 flow rate, reduction time, temp., sample precalcination, and NH3 pretreatment. The overall degree of Ni2+ reduction is found to be promoted by lower heating and H2 flow rates and is inhibited by sample precalcination, higher heating rates, and ammonia pretreatments.
