Abstract

Since the 6-oxo derivatives of steroids usually elicit stronger and more specific immune responses than the steroid itself, the title compounds allow to develop radioimmunoassays of high specificity for (I) and its sulfonate derivative.

Since the 6-oxo derivatives of steroids usually elicit stronger and more specific immune responses than the steroid itself, the title compounds allow to develop radioimmunoassays of high specificity for (I) and its sulfonate derivative. Another less convenient four-step synthesis is discussed as well.
