Abstract

Poly(p-chloromethylstyrene) is partially aminated to yield ligands which form polymer-bound carbonylrhodium amine complexes.

ChemInform Abstract

Poly(p-chloromethylstyrene) is partially aminated to yield ligands which form polymer-bound carbonylrhodium amine complexes. These are employed as catalysts in the deoxygenation of 1-nitropropane (I) or N,N-diethylhydroxylamine (VII) with CO/H2O, producing mainly propionitrile (III) and diethylamine (VIII) respectively.
