ChemInform Abstract

The compounds (IV) and (VI) containing the title anions are prepared as shown in the scheme and characterized by XRD, UV/VIS-, IR-, and 77Se-NMR spectroscopy. (IV) crystallizes in the space group P21/n, Z=4 and contains a square-planar Ni center bound to a side-on Se2-group and to a nearly tetrahedral WSe4-unit. The anions of the compounds (VI) are closely analogous to the known (Ni(WS4)2)2- ion. (VIa) crystallizes in space group P1 with Z=1.
