Abstract

Thiohalide compounds as W(S)Cl4, W(S)2Cl2, M(S)Cl3 (M: Mo, Nb, Ta), and M(O)(S)Cl2 (M: Mo, W) can be prepared in high yields as exemplified in the scheme.

ChemInform Abstract

Thiohalide compounds as W(S)Cl4, W(S)2Cl2, M(S)Cl3 (M: Mo, Nb, Ta), and M(O)(S)Cl2 (M: Mo, W) can be prepared in high yields as exemplified in the scheme. If the reaction is carried out in a coordinating solvent such as MeCN solvent adducts as (V) and the analogous Ta compounds are obtained.
