Abstract

The title compound (I) rearranges to the heptaphosphinodiborate (II) in THF at moderate temperatures.

ChemInform Abstract

The title compound (I) rearranges to the heptaphosphinodiborate (II) in THF at moderate temperatures. Reactions with the Lewis acid BH3 yields (IV) and methylation affords (VI). The 31P and 11B NMR spectra of (II), (IV), and (VI) are reported and discussed.
