Abstract

The meso forms (IV) and (VII) of the title cyclophanes are predominantly formed.

The meso forms (IV) and (VII) of the title cyclophanes are predominantly formed. (VIIb) is prepared similarly to (VIIa). Unexpectedly all cyclophanes are devoid of guest-binding properties (for (IV) no yield given).
