Abstract

The protodesilylation of the allylic silanes (I) or (IV) is selective for the formation of the geometrical isomers (II) and (III) when the group R is isopropyl, but not when it is methyl.

ChemInform Abstract

The protodesilylation of the allylic silanes (I) or (IV) is selective for the formation of the geometrical isomers (II) and (III) when the group R is isopropyl, but not when it is methyl. - The substrate (Ia) is obtained from the acetate (V) (no experimental details given).
