Abstract

Diglyme (I) is fluorinated with elemental fluorine to give the perfluorodiglyme (II).

ChemInform Abstract

Diglyme (I) is fluorinated with elemental fluorine to give the perfluorodiglyme (II). This general method can be used to prepare the perfluoro compounds (III) - (VII). Increase of the ratio of carbon to oxygen impairs the viscosimetric properties.
