Abstract

Electrochemical reduction of the perfluoroalkyl iodide (I) in DMF or SO2 (III) and DMF yields the carboxylic (II) or the sulfinic acid (IV).

ChemInform Abstract

Electrochemical reduction of the perfluoroalkyl iodide (I) in DMF or SO2 (III) and DMF yields the carboxylic (II) or the sulfinic acid (IV). The diiodide (V) is similarly converted to the acids (VI) - (VIII).
