ChemInform Abstract

The phosphonium chlorides (II), prepared form the phosphorus triamides (I) and the binary system carbon tetrachloride-ammonia, react with sodium amide to give the phosphorimidic triamides (III). Coupling of (II) with the primary and secondary amines (IV) forms the tetraaminophosphonium chlorides (V) under opening of the aziridine ring. The phosphorimidic triamides (VI) are obtained on treatment of (V) with sodium amide. From (IIb) and piperazine (VII) the bisphosphorimidic hexamide (IX) is prepared via the bisphosphonium salt (VIII) in a similar manner.
