Abstract

Reductive chloride elimination from 1,4-dichlorooctacyclohexyltetrasilane (II) prepared as shown yields the title compound (III).

ChemInform Abstract

Reductive chloride elimination from 1,4-dichlorooctacyclohexyltetrasilane (II) prepared as shown yields the title compound (III). This is characterized by X-ray structure analysis (space group I4). All cyclohexyl rings assume a chair conformation.
