To obtain (I) calix(4)arene containing some MeOH is heated in conc.

To obtain (I) calix(4)arene containing some MeOH is heated in conc. H2SO4 at 70 °C during 4 h; to the resulting sulfonate in H2O (after neutralization with BaCO3) (NH4)2CO3 is added (no yield given; space group C2/c with Z = 8).
