Abstract

The benzothiazepinone derivative (VII) is synthesized from the thiophenolate (I) as outlined in the reaction scheme.

ChemInform Abstract

The benzothiazepinone derivative (VII) is synthesized from the thiophenolate (I) as outlined in the reaction scheme. (VII) is transformed into the derivatives (XI) and (XII) by reaction with peracetic acid and phosphorus pentasulfide respectively. Further transformations are described in the original paper.
