Abstract

Starting with the benzodioxole derivative (I), the spirocyclic imides (VI) and amines (VII) are prepared as shown in the reaction scheme.

Starting with the benzodioxole derivative (I), the spirocyclic imides (VI) and amines (VII) are prepared as shown in the reaction scheme. The imides (VI) have no anticonvulsive activity, whereas the amines (VII) show selective anticonvulsive action against electric shock.
