Abstract

16-Dehydropregnenolone (I) reacts with piperylene (II) at elevated pressure, producing the 16α,17α-cyclohexenopregnenolone (III).

16-Dehydropregnenolone (I) reacts with piperylene (II) at elevated pressure, producing the 16α,17α-cyclohexenopregnenolone (III). The "endo-principle" is observed, as it is under catalytical conditions. (NMR-data).
