Abstract

The reactions of N2O with various anions in the gas phase are highly characteristic of the ion′s structure.

The reactions of N2O with various anions in the gas phase are highly characteristic of the ion′s structure. In general, prim. carbanions produce diazo anions, sec. carbanions dehydrogenate and tert. carbanions afford adducts, oxygen atom transfer and cleavage products.
