Abstract
The arylhydrazonopropanediones (III) are prepared by condensation of the corresponding diketones (II) and the aryldiazonium salts generated from (I).

The arylhydrazonopropanediones (III) are prepared by condensation of the corresponding diketones (II) and the aryldiazonium salts generated from (I). Reaction of (III) with dithiocarbazate (IV) yields the title compounds (V), which have been tested for antileukaemic activity against the P388 test system in mice.
