Abstract
The new Complexes (I) were obtained by the reaction of Fe(III) salts with the Schiff base ligands derived from the condensation of N- benzylethylenediamine and substituted salicylaldehydes.

The new Complexes (I) were obtained by the reaction of Fe(III) salts with the Schiff base ligands derived from the condensation of N- benzylethylenediamine and substituted salicylaldehydes. The single-crystal X-ray structure of (Ib) has been determined. It crystallizes in the space group P21/c with Z=4. Magnetic and spectroscopic characterization, particularly the variable-temperature EPR data are discussed in terms of various solid-state spin-crossover mechanisms.
