Abstract

The title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/b with Z=4. At-65°C, the cell constants are: a=6.97 Å, b=8.88 Å, c=11.69 Å, γ=85.2°. The structure was solved using the Patterson function and the (difference) Fourier method and refined by conventional block-diagonal least squares to a final R-value of 6.9%. All hydrogen atoms were found. As predicted by its I.R. stretching frequency, the double bonded oxygen is found in an equatorial position.
