Agroecology is the study of the ecology of agricultural systems. It has developed with agricultural science, biology, and anthropology. It focuses on the total picture of agricultural resource use and management, including direct and indirect effects on the environment, and thus addresses concerns of sustainability over different scales and the advantages of low-input, low-impact practices.
