Abstract

Juan Comas (1900–79) was a Mexican anthropologist of Spanish birth, renowned for his work on the biological anthropology of Mexico, his foundational contributions to the development of Mexican anthropology, and his promotion of the study and welfare of the indigenous peoples of Latin America.
