Leadership involves building and maintaining high-performance teams. Multisource data describe narcissistic leaders as assertive, innovative, and decisive. They can also be arrogant, demeaning, and careless about commitments. Narcissistic leaders acquire power and status, but their derailing qualities damage team performance. Executive coaching must be adapted to both their bright and their dark sides.
