Summary

In recent years we studied the influence of severe plastic deformation (SPD) by means of high-pressure torsion (HPT) on the structure and magnetic hysteresis properties of R-Fe-B (R-Nd, Pr) alloys with the main intermetallic phase R2Fe14B [1–3]. These alloys have a great scientific and practical importance as the materials for permanent magnets with record properties [4,5]. The investigations showed that HPT leads to the decomposition of R2Fe14B phase into amorphous Nd-rich phase and N-Fe phase [1–3]. On the other hand in the result of rapid quenching (RQ) one can succeed in making the homogeneous amorphous structure in these alloys [4]. In this connection we consider that studying structures of RQ amorphous alloy Nd-Fe-B subjected to SPD is of great interest. This will allow to define the dependence of the structure forming during SPD on the initial structure of the deformed
