Abstract

This entry discusses the two basic resampling techniques that have found widespread application in survey sampling: Jackknife Repeated Replication (JRR) and Balanced Repeated Replication (BRR). To date, resampling methods based on the bootstrap have found only limited application in samples, which involve complex (stratified and clustered) sample design.
