JCD Editorial – July 2022
Welcome to the July 2022 Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. We hope everyone is doing well and living life in whatever your new normal is these days. For me, the new normal has been trying to return, as safely as possible. I have been attending and helping to organize meetings that we all took for granted at the beginning of 2020. I have now been to several dermatology events over the past several months, and seen them start to grow in attendance, it appears to me that if we do things smart and intelligent, we can get back to our in-person learning lives once again. To me, this is important, and I hope that as we move forward, more and more of you will travel again and attend the incredible learning opportunities that live congresses present to all of us.
We must still be cautious and aware that the COVID pandemic is not over. Some places are still seeing more and more cases of this virus. We need to continue to follow all the guidelines in place wherever you are—so that we may keep the spread of this disease to a minimum.
One thing that I have said often in print and public is that our companies in dermatology and aesthetics have been incredible partners to all of us in the research arena. Research has not slowed down one-bit, and that is evident to us at JCD as we continue to shatter all records for submissions of articles to the Journal. The submissions' we are receiving are astounding quality and that is a credit to all of you who are performing these research activities and pursuing a publication strategy to see them peer-reviewed and in print. I encourage you to continue the great work you are doing, and we will strive to publish your articles as fast as we can once they are accepted.
A big shout-out must go to our associate editors, our reviewers, and the staff at Wiley who all work tirelessly for all of us. We cannot do this without them, and we thank every one of you. And I would be remiss without thanking, again, Ms. Angela Brown in my office, who keeps everything on our end incredibly organized and moving forward every day.
We hope you enjoy this issue of JCD and know that we are always here for any questions, concerns, or comments.
