Corrigendum

The article Zhang et al. (2021)¹ had the incorrect Corrigendum² text published.

The incorrect text read:

In the article by Zhang et al. (2021), the trial number mentioned in Section 2.9 (Ethical considerations) was incomplete. The sentence should read as: The study was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (ChiCTR1900024693).

The text should have read:

The article by Zhang et al. (2021)¹ is a trial of a carer intervention that was linked to a patient intervention. The patient intervention was registered separately as it reported patient outcomes (ChiCTR1900024693) and the article says ClinicalTrials.gov (ChiCTR1900024693). The sentence should read as: Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR1900024693). The patient intervention and carer intervention are reported in separate papers. The authors did not prospectively register the carer intervention as the participants were considered care providers. The IJCME guidance does not require registration of trials that report outcomes of care providers. In the trial report of the carer intervention, the authors did include two patient outcomes, one of which was not included in the patient intervention registration (ChiCTR1900024693). The authors have retrospectively registered the carer intervention (ChiCTR2100053020) and included the patient outcome that had not previously been registered in this entry.
