Abstract

ABSTRACT The Hartmannella vermiformis small-subunit rRNA coding region was amplified, and the amplified DNA was cloned and sequenced. The coding region is 1,840 nucleotides long, and is typical of eukaryotic rRNA genes in both size and composition. Different clones contained different nucleotides at three positions.
