SUMMARY

Two methods for the replication of skin surface are described. The first is for the macroscopic estimation of hair follicles. The second, which produces replicas for the scanning electron microscope, utilizes Formvar and Thiokol Rubber as the impression material. The replica exhibits fine microscopic detail, and demonstrates sweat gland activity. The technique does not displace the well documented Sylflo method, but may prove to be a useful adjunct.
