Biochemical findings in a patient with lipoprotein lipase deficiency (Hyperlipoproteinaemia Type I)
Abstract
An early diagnosed case of hyperlipoproteinaemia type I is presented. Besides the major criteria, which were met, unexpected changes in the serum lipoprotein pattern on heparin injection are reported, suggesting a possible role of liver lipase in HDL metabolism.
