Aus BUERGER-Präzessionsaufnahmen von SrJ2 (MoKα-Strahlung) wurden die Gitterkonstanten a = 15,22, b = 8,22 und c = 7,90 Å sowie die Raumgruppe Pbca abgeleitet. Die rhombische Elementarzelle enthält gemäß Dichtevergleich (ϱber = 4,59 g/cm3, ϱexp = 4,549 g/cm3) 8 Formeleinheiten SrJ2. EuJ2 und SrJ2 sind nicht isotyp; es bestehen aber enge Beziehungen zwischen den Abmessungen der Elementarzellen.

From Buerger precession photographs of SrJ2 (MoKα radiation) the lattice dimensions a = 15.22, b = 8.22, c = 7.90 Å and the space group Pbca are derived. According to the calculated and measured density (ϱc = 4.59 g/cm3, ϱm = 4.549 g/cm3) the orthorhombic unit cell contains 8 formula units SrJ2. EuJ2 and SrJ2 are not isostructural, but there are close material relations between their unit cells.
