Wind Energy special issue: offshore wind energy

Dear Colleague,

We would like to invite you to submit a manuscript for a special issue on ‘Offshore Wind Energy’ to be published in the journal Wind Energy in early 2009.

Papers on all topics directly relating to the development and operation of offshore wind energy are welcome, including environmental and societal aspects, economics, wind and wave loads, operation and maintenance, resource assessment and forecasting, policy, grid connection, and control issues. We are particularly interested in papers relating to large offshore wind farms and envisage: Volume 1 with a focus on environmental impacts, planning, economics, etc., and Volume 2 with a focus on technical issues.

Schedule

The deadline for submission of manuscripts is on 15 April 2008.

To prepare and submit your manuscript, please follow the instructions given on the Wind Energy web site (http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin/jabout/6276/ForAuthors.html). Papers should conform to the length and style of Wind Energy and will be subject to the normal peer-review process.
