Abstract

The properties of spin-polarised carriers in quasi-spherical CdS quantum dots in a strong confinement regime were investigated by photoluminescence and pump-probe experiments. The obtained results were explained in terms of time-dependent occupation probabilities for the lowest exciton states. The electron spin flip time of 3.5 ns was measured at room temperature.
