Kubelka's method is used to record the diffuse absorption spectra of NH₄Cl + TlCl mixed phosphors for various thallium concentrations. The absorption spectra so recorded are presented. The B and A bands of NH₄Cl:Tl are obtained at 5.55 and 5.12 eV at room temperature (300 K). Rising the thallium content additional absorption bands appear which are attributed to dimers in D_4h and C_2v symmetries.

Abstract

Kubelkas Methode wird benutzt, um die diffusen Absorptionsspektren von NH₄Cl + TlCl-Mischphosphoren bei verschiedenen Thalliumkonzentrationen aufzunehmen. Die so gewonnenen Absorptionsspektren werden mitgeteilt. Die B- und A-Banden werden bei 5,55 und 5,12 eV und Zimmertemperatur (300 K) erhalten. Mit steigender Thalliumkonzentration treten zusätzliche Absorptionsbanden auf, die Dimeren mit D_4h- und C_2v-Symmetrie zugeordnet werden.
