Abstract

The aim in high-performance sports activities is reaching the optimum between high efficiency and low risk of injuries during workout. This paper wants to investigate several types of human motion in interaction with a compliant ground. The influence of the surface parameters on the human metabolic cost consumption and the reaction force is analysed. (© 2012 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
