Optimization of Initial Deflection of a Beam-Column (a Planar Problem)
Abstract
The analysis present here provides formulating optimization conditions, the solution of which provides optimum variation of the initial deflection along the beam-column eliminating internal bending moment or guaranteeing a prescribed allowable resultant deflection.
