Abstract

We proposed and demonstrated 40–4 × 10 Gb/s optical serial to parallel converter based on the prechirped pulse probe and the fiber cross-phase modulation-based optical gate. We further show the potential to extend the demonstrated scheme to larger than 8 parallelization scale. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
